My Story:

Taylor Dunn joins Beacon Academy as the Assistant Principal. A Danville native, Taylor graduated from Tunstall High School in Pittsylvania County and continued to Averett University. There, he earned a B.S. in Health and Physical Education with PreK-12 Teacher Licensure. Most recently, he earned his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Old Dominion University. Before joining Beacon, Taylor served as a physical education teacher at Yellow Branch Elementary from 2014 to 2021. He has added over a decade of experience working with young people through various coaching positions. His professional goals have always revolved around building lasting relationships. If you show a child you believe in them, they will then believe in themselves.

Taylor enjoys spending time with his family, sushi, fishing, and working out. His favorite movie is Remember the Titans and has never seen a single Star Wars, Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings movie.
