My Story: 

Phoenix Ladd joins Beacon Academy as a High School teacher. She is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. She graduated from high school with honors from the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts. Upon graduating, she attended college at Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts in Orlando, Florida. 

After 18 years working in the entertainment industry, Ms. Ladd returned to college to become a teacher. She earned her B.S. in Exceptional Student Education from the University of Central Florida. Upon graduating from UCF, she worked for six years with high-risk youth in various schools throughout Orange County, Florida, while attending Concordia University for her M.S. in Advanced Special Education.

Recently relocating to Lynchburg, she is excited to be joining Beacon Academy. She has always believed that learning should be interesting and fun whenever possible and she hopes to share her love of knowledge with her students. 

Outside of work, Phoenix enjoys spending time with her children, reading, cooking, camping, and traveling to new places.
