My Story:

A Campbell County native, Nikki graduated from Rustburg High School and continued to Virginia Tech. There, she earned a B.S. In Human Development, Elementary Education and M.A. Ed in Teaching and Learning, Special Education. Later in her career, she added Supervision and Leadership through Longwood University. Before joining Beacon, Nikki has worked as an elementary special education teacher, a high school special education teacher, a high school math teacher, and most recently as a coordinator for special education for a high school. She has well over a decade of experience in supporting learners at all stages of learning and development. Her professional goals have always been rooted in helping learners achieve their goals to allow them the highest levels of participation in their community.
Nikki enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and crafts like crochet and sewing. When things are really calm, she loves a friendly board game.
