​My Story: 

Desmond Harvey joined Beacon Academy as a paraprofessional.  She was raised in Charlotte County,  Va. Desmond attended Charlotte County Public schools, but graduated in Appomattox County. Desmond has a degree in Human Service studies from Southside Virginia Community College. Desmond is also working on getting her Associate Degree in Education. She plans  to attend either Liberty University or Old Dominion to get her Teaching Degree with Special Education Endorsement. Desmond enjoys spending time with her daughter and going places. Her favorite movie is Harry Potter.
