My Story:

Deon Wood is typically in many places at once around campus. He serves Beacon Academy as support staff and Director of Transportation for Harvest Outreach.  Deon was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.  He is a husband and father of two. Deon has worked with youth since 2013.  He has been employed with the Harvest Outreach Center since 2016   serving in many roles  such  as behavioral support staff, recreation coordinator, therapeutic mentor, and transportation coordinator. In addition, Deon is a certified trainer in Safety-Care® Behavioral Safety Training, First Aid/CPR, and AED. Deon is pleased to be a part of Beacon Academy where he believes the experience, preparation,   and continued development of the staff promote a successful and nurturing environment for students.
