Allorie Miller joins Beacon Academy as a Paraprofessional. She attended Rustburg High School and graduated in 2018. Upon graduation, she decided to go to Central Virginia Community College where she obtained an Associates Degree in General Studies in 2019. After that, Allorie transferred to Roanoke College and majored in Public Health and minored in French. She graduated in the Spring of 2021 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree.
In previous years, she was a camp counselor at Tomahawk Elementary School. She got an opportunity to meet many wonderful students. Allorie always enjoyed getting students to participate in fun activities that promoted social and intellectual skills. There were other special moments which she encountered that will always hold a sentimental place in her heart. Outside of school, Allorie's hobbies include traveling, spending time with family and friends, shopping, and relaxation. Also, she loves attending cultural festivals and trying various ethnic foods. She is thrilled to be at Beacon Academy and begin this new journey. "Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much."- Helen Keller |
